I'm Martin Roberts, the photographer behind RealtyPix. I grew up following my father through construction sites — learning how properties are built, how they fail, and what it takes to bring them back. That foundation led to years of hands-on work in property restoration before I ever picked up a camera professionally.
I spent a year with Angel Properties in Livonia, Michigan going into bank-repossessed properties after the sheriff had cleared them — walking every room, assessing condition, and quoting the full scope of work needed to return each property to OEM standard so the bank could resell it. I know what a restoration contractor looks for because I was the one looking for it.
After that I subcontracted for Epic Property Management out of Wyandotte for several years. Every time a tenant moved out or a new property was acquired, my team and I went in and restored it — removing debris, repairing damage, bringing properties back to rentable condition. I've seen water damage, fire damage, hoarder conditions, squatter-occupied properties, and everything in between — not from behind a camera but with my hands.
That experience is what separates RealtyPix documentation photography from every other photographer you could call. When I walk into a distressed property I'm not just framing shots — I understand what I'm documenting, why it matters, and what the person reviewing these photos needs to see. I know which damage is cosmetic and which is structural. I know what a restoration contractor will flag. I know what an asset manager needs to make decisions.

REO & Distressed Property Photography Pricing
Straightforward pricing for documentation work throughout Southeast Michigan. All shoots include complete interior and exterior coverage with next-day delivery.
Basic Documentation — $175
15 photos covering key areas of the property — exterior, main living areas, kitchen, bathrooms, basement, and any notable damage or conditions.
Standard Documentation — $225
30 photos providing comprehensive coverage of all rooms, damage areas, mechanical systems, and exterior including all sides of the structure.
Full Documentation — $275
50 photos delivering complete room-by-room documentation of the entire property including all damage, debris conditions, structural concerns, and exterior perimeter.
All documentation shoots are edited for clarity and accurate color representation. Properties with no power are accommodated — bracketed photography used as needed at no additional charge.
